Blossom

This is a piece part of a personal project about a girl and her dog exploring and adventuring through the city together, looking for her family. My objective within this work was to create a grand scene of arriving someplace that was life-changing - new and undiscovered to the character. I created this piece in Adobe Photoshop CC. I'm always trying to tackle new lighting scenarios within my work. With this one, I wanted to create mood with dappled lighting coming through overhanging trees on the street. I used lasso tool with texture brush to create Blossom, along with adjustment layers to enhance atmospheric mood.
